My formula is simple – Make beautiful music, through passionate and expressive performances, and people will be drawn to it.
My philosophy is clear - We, the musicians with whom I work, and I, will be known for performances that are passionate, precise and exciting. We will continue our traditions and embrace new trends, mindful that orchestral music can be effective in a variety of formats and venues.
My greatest strength as a Music Director is the ability to inspire the musicians and instill in them a sense of creative enthusiasm.
My main goal with any orchestra, no matter what the organizational budget, is to successfully redefine a higher artistic potential and to lead its musicians toward achieving passionate performances at the very highest artistic level.
I am a strong advocate of connecting people to the symphony. I feel it essential to take the time to learn about the cultural and musical traditions of the orchestra and its community. This contributes to the development of innovative orchestral programs that attract a new and diverse audience while continuing to satisfy long time patrons.
